10 AI Marketing Automations Every Business Should Build

These 10 automation workflows eliminate repetitive marketing work, reduce costs, and scale your pipeline — without hiring more people.

The automations worth building share one thing: they remove work you do weekly, not work you do once a quarter.

Ten that pay for themselves quickly, in the order I've built them most often:

1–3: the lead arriving

Automatic qualification. A form sends its data into a model that scores it against your ideal customer profile and tags it. Sales start the day with a sorted list, not 40 undifferentiated rows.

Instant reply. A visitor who doesn't get an answer within 5 minutes keeps looking. An assistant that handles the common questions and hands the rest to a human covers exactly that window.

Contact enrichment. From an email address, the company, industry and size fill themselves in. That saves your salesperson 10 minutes of digging per lead.

4–6: content

Repurposing. One article becomes five posts, a newsletter and three video ideas. Not new content — the same content, cut for each channel.

First drafts. Not the final version. The AI produces the draft in two minutes, you fix it in ten. Compare that to an hour of blank page.

Product descriptions. If you have a catalogue, this is the clearest saving: hundreds of consistent descriptions generated from attributes.

7–8: after the sale

Call summaries. The transcript lands in the CRM automatically, with next steps extracted. Nobody writes notes after the meeting anymore, which means the notes actually exist.

Appointment reminders. WhatsApp and SMS, one day and two hours before. The simplest to build and usually the first to pay for itself.

9–10: reporting

The weekly report. Ad data, analytics and CRM in a single document, generated on Monday morning.

Threshold alerts. Not a dashboard nobody opens, but a message when a campaign crosses a limit.

How to pick the first one

Not the most impressive one. Take a sheet of paper and write down what your team did by hand last week, with hours next to it. The top of that list is what you automate first. It's almost never the one you were thinking of.
